Still in Holiday Mood!!!

It is so difficult to get back the study mood since I’m coming back from home after two weeks holiday. But, last Monday I pushed myself to go to lecture. I try to forget everything about home, of course except my family. It is quick shocked when Syamida announced that we will have a midterm test on Monday. But, Alhamdulillah, everything is okay. I can answer all the questions. Hope I will get a good mark. Not only me, the others also finished answering the questions early because we have 30 minutes to answer. Everyone looks very happy after the midterm came to the end. Then, before we dismissed, we discuss about our ‘Jamuan Hari Raya’. Finally, we decided to go to Tanjung Lipat and have a dinner there. I like!!!

Syukur Alhamdulillah. This year, my hari raya celebration I can say it is the happiest that I experienced. In the morning 1st Syawal after pray, we were gather together. I realized, how big my family. This year, we celebrated it with 2 new persons in my family, my new sister in law and also my third nephew, nine months. This time also, my sister that studied in Jordan came back to celebrate Hari Raya together. For me, this is actually the barakah of Syawal. It allows us to have a good time with our family members and most important we are apologized each other. Sincerely, I’m very afraid to loss all of them. I cannot imagine can I will be if they are not around…

Journal :: Week 7 :: 25th August 2010

Yes! Again! We were laughing non-stop! Huhu….. During presentation, some of us must create some jokes. A lot of ideas were come out from each group during presentation. But, what I want to highlight here is what have been said by Miss Anna. She said, she was expected with us to have a matured thinking. That’s what we are supposed to have because we already 20s. We must have a better thinking.

After that, we got back our compare and contrast essay. Miss Anna gave comments one by one. For me, as expected I need to improve in grammar part. This week we learnt about cause and effect essay. The format is likely same with compare and contrast essay and can be done by block or point-by-point. .. Next week we will have a test on this type of essay. All the best Zaki!!!

Journal :: Week 6 :: 18th August 2010

Ermmm.... class as usual.
Today we have test, writing compare and contrast essay.
What i like for this test, we have been given one week to prepare the drafts about our essay. I chose topic on 'Government Vs Private Doctors'.
Ermmm...sincerely I prefer to become government doctor. How to say? For me, private hospital always put a high expectation from doctors. huhu... not easy to fullfill their needs.

Miss Anna want each of us to give asuggestions about the way journal had been written. For me, there is not gap between Miss Anna and us when we wrote the journal. Since, we already know each other a long time, I don't think Miss Anna can't feel our emotion and senses during she read our journal. So, it still okay if we continue writing journal by publishing through blog.

Past vs Present Secret Code

Language is one of the communication medium used by people to communicate with each others. Without language being used, it is very impossible for us to understand others. Even, deaf and dumb people have their own language to communicate among themselves as well as with normal people. Interestingly, people in the past have been started to use secret code in their life. They have been created the new techniques in the communication, as a result today’s people still used it and some they modified it as to make it compatible with the current situation. But, past and present secret codes are not totally same. Therefore, there are three similarities and differences between past and present secret code, in term of techniques to delivery, medium used and purposes.

Firstly, there are similarities between past and present secret codes. Both in the past especially during 1700s and 1900s and present used their creative intervention to deliver their messages to other. For example, both people in the past and present used what they have in their surrounding so that messages can be transmits to others. Other than that, both of them used certain medium to deliver their messages. The medium used can be from naturally or used current devices. Besides, both of people in the past and present have the same purposes by using secret code. They want to keep secret among themselves, protects their ideas and also for safety. Thus, it is clear that both past and present secret code have similarities.

Secondly, there are differences between past and present secret code. In past, the secret code used in some techniques such as used in the form of symbols, secret writing and native words. An example regarding this is secret writing by using invisible ink by both British and American armies during Revolutionary War around 1780s. Compare to present secret code, it used in the short form, modified the words and numbers. For example, the teenagers today used short form when messaging to each other. They used short form of ‘Code 9’ means parents are nearby, ‘143’ means I love you, and ‘182’ means I hate you. Other than that, the medium used by both past and present are different. In the past, secret code was delivered by smokes, letter, stone, and birds. Compare to present secret code, it is more to modern and used technology devices such as hand phone and internet. For example, people today able to sent secret code to their friends very fast just by using text messages via hand phone and also e-mail. Furthermore, past and present secret code can be different in term or purposes. Recently, in the past the secret code was used mainly during war and protection. For example, British and German military used secret code during World War II. Compare to present secret code, it used many in the business which need codes to protect their ideas or processes. Today’s technologies have driven new code of language for sending messages very fast and allow quick communication. It also used as a way of hiding information from others, especially teenagers want to keep secret from their parents. Thus, it is very clearly that there are differences between past and present secret code.

As a conclusion, the differences and similarities between past and present secret code made people realize that the secret code have certain techniques, medium and purposes since it existed. We must keep in our mind that the existence of the secret code is mainly because of the creativity and ideas of innovation come from people itself. So, we must appreciate our valuable mind given from God. Thus, we should use this kind of language in proper way for our benefits.

We were also asked to find another secret code or language and we need to present it next week. This time we had fun again. Before the class end, Miss Anna made a game, known as 'Kelopak jantung'. We were separated into two groups and facing each other. One group as 'kelopak' and another group as 'jantung'. My group was 'jantung'. We need to alert with Miss Anna hand. When Miss Anna came into class, after she gave briefing about our new course, she asked why we are so quite? Suddenly, Samidi said 'Focus!'. Maybe this time, that's our trademark. Hahaha. For this semester, 'Ammar was volunteered to become a class rep. and Midah as class assistant.

For this semester also, Miss Anna came out with something new. She asked us to create our own blog. The blog will be used as a part of our learning. She wants us to post our journal here and other things. Interesting! Because, I didn't have any experience to create a blog before. And I never thought to be a blogger. Again, thanks lot to Miss Anna!

During class,we were assigned to create two poems. One poem about our favourite colour and one poem about colour that we dislike. We were assigned as group. My group members are Midah, Pua, Athirah and Huda. Pua and me create our favourite colour poem. We chose green. While Athirah, Midah and Huda create poem about colour we dislike. We select red. After that, we learnt how to make an essay and answered some questions.

Totally, this class really always made me laughing! I like!!!

You are creative and dreamy... plus dramatic and unpredictable.

You're emotionally honest, real, and easily hurt.
Totally expressive, others always know exactly how you feel.

At Your Best: You are inspired, artistic, and introspective. You know what you're thinking, and you can communicate it well.

At Your Worst: You are melancholy, alienated, and withdrawn.

Your Fixation: Envy

Your Primary Fear: To have no identity

Your Primary Desire: To find yourself

Other Number 4's: Alanis Morisette, Johnny Depp, J.D. Salinger, Jim Morrison, and Anne Rice.

Yellow? Out of my favourite..

Your color personality is: Yellow

Like yellow's strongest symbol, the sun, you radiate warmth. Others love to be around you because you have a gift for always looking on the bright side, and your ready smile can be infectious. Chances are your calendar is packed -- yellow lovers tend to be always on the go! Your signature color indicates someone imaginative and creative, so don't be afraid to express yourself through the way you dress and the way you decorate your home. Cheerful yellow is the ideal hue for a kitchen, laundry room, or any room that needs some extra brightness.

You Colour My Life!!!

You stand in front of me,
You always be there,
You always cover my life,
You never move even I leave you,
You make my life cheerful,
You make my life peaceful,
